Welcome to Dar Othmane

Posted on April 4, 2010

After two years of careful restoration by local master craftsmen Dar Othmane is now ready to open its doors and invite you to share the magic spellbinding atmosphere of the ancient Medina in Fes (Fez). Stepping back in time with its labyrinth of alleyways full of spices and crafts, overwhelming sights and hidden secrets yet to be discovered.

Dar Othmane is a charming house traditionally and beautifully restored nestled in the heart of the old Medina. With walls of polished tadelakt, original features such as cedar wood beamed ceilings and doors which have been restored throughout. All the furniture has been beautifully made in the city of Meknes, in northern Morocco .
Iraq glass has been placed in all the windows for peace and privacy, and warmth in the winter months when the evenings can be a little cooler. For the convenience of our guests free Wi Fi internet access is available.

There are four bedrooms, three doubles with en suite, and one twin room which has a private bathroom a few steps away. All bathrooms have modern facilities and are well lit. All rooms have air conditioning.

The rooms can be rented out singly, or a group can rent the whole house for themselves, which can accommodate up to eight people.

The kitchen is on the ground floor, with modern facilities to make life that much easier. Breakfast will be served between 8am-10am on the roof terrace, buffet style, or on the ground floor depending on the weather.

The roof terrace with its panoramic views of the Medina and the surrounding hills is the perfect haven, whether you want to enjoy the sun or read in the shade.

Its an ideal place to spend your evenings watching the sun go down, whilst you wine and dine under the African sky.
